When the warm weather hits, my family is ready to get outside and enjoy it. It seems the kids start itching around January to swim, bike, go to the park and all the other fun stuff we do. This year, we decided to make the backyard into a place they can have fun without getting bored. We set up a slackline, a pool and a trampoline, which are in addition to the bikes, scooters and skateboards. I love that the kids are active and enjoy being outside where they can get some exercise while having fun. I try to serve healthy meals, but when you are on the go, it is hard to do that. We try to limit our eating out because it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. Because we are out so much, I like to put together simple meals that we can take with us. This keeps us financially and physically healthy! That is why I love serving meals that include the products from Tyson. We are a Tyson family and we eat a chicken dinner or chicken snack at least 2-3 times each week. On a recent trip to Sam’s club, we picked up a family size bag of Tyson Fully Cooked Chicken Fries. Although it is a large bag, it will not last us more than a few days!
Easy Chicken Dinners
I am all about quick and easy meals as long as they do not skimp on flavor or quality. That is why I love Tyson so much because the kids love the chicken for the flavor and I love it for the high standards Tyson abides by. We have a pretty park nearby that has a walking trail that I can enjoy while the kids ride bikes. When we visit the park, we will pack a portable cooler with a picnic lunch. Since we just set up the pool, the kids have wanted to stay home and swim all day, which is fine by me! With the fully cooked Tyson Chicken Fries, I can put them in a reusable bag to take a chicken snack to the park, or heat them up and serve easy summer chicken dinners at home. I always serve plenty of fruit and sneak in those veggies so we are eating a well rounded and healthy meal.
While the kids were swimming today, I decided to have a picnic in the backyard. Just as I got everything set up and was calling the kids to eat, we got some rain. The weather has been pretty wet lately, so I was not totally taken by surprise! We just moved everything into the living room and enjoyed our meal there! We had out Tyson Chicken Fries, Veggie Sticks (they are awesome!), apple slices, grapes and sparkling water.
As usual, both kids finished their Tyson Chicken Fries pretty quickly and were asking for more. They worked up such an appetite swimming that they ate half of a bag! If your family loves chicken and you want some easy summer meals, you cannot go wrong with Tyson Chicken Fries! Be sure to visit the Tyson Facebook page where you will soon find a chance to win Six Flags tickets! And if you win those tickets, be sure to take along your Tyson Chicken Fries!
