I like to try different flavors and blends of coffee. It is amazing how many types are made and roasted throughout the United States. Sogno Coffeehouse is located in Cresskill, New Jersey and they pride themselves in selecting the best Arabica coffee beans to roast.
I received the Cielo, Nuvola and Sole blends to sample. I first tried the Cielo which is their medium roast. I really enjoyed the smoothness of the blend. The aroma was invigorating while it was brewing. I was able to smell the coffee throughout my house for a long while after it brewed. I like a warm coffeehouse smell in the mornings, especially when I can see snow on the ground, it reminds me of a ski resort!
I do not drink decaf coffee but I did try the Nuvola. The flavor was milder than the Cielo and I could drink it black. There are several decaf drinkers at my husband’s work so he took the rest of the bag to them so it would not spoil. His employees gave the coffee a thumbs up and said it was not bitter.
The last flavor I tried was the Sole. It was my favorite and did not have a bitter aftertaste either. It was bold and paired perfectly with a blueberry muffin I had for breakfast. The coffee shone through even though I use a creamer, which will sometimes override the coffee. This would be the blend I could see myself drinking everyday.
Overall I enjoyed the Sogno blends. I would love to see brewing information on their bags of coffee. Not because I don’t know how to brew, but sometimes companies have their own ratios they suggest using for the best cup of coffee
