“Taco Bell for dinner? Not a problem anymore.”
If you would have told me 5 years ago that one of the tools most used around the house would be a plunger, I would have have called you crazy. You probably could have made a bet with me and made some money. I mean seriously, I’d lived 36 years and could count on one hand the number of times I used a plunger. Now I’m married with children, and the game has changed.
Up until 5 years ago I never really gave much thought to the common toilet plunger. Sure it’s handy when you need it, but come to think of it I’ve never actually purchased one. It seems every apartment, house, or condo I’ve lived in came with a fully functional plunger. I have often wondered if the plunger from my youth is following me through life making sure my toilets stay flushable and clog free. Like a sentinel standing tall at the throne of a king. I say that because every plunger I have owned has look exactly the same, red bottom with wood dowel stick up from the top.
I don’t know about you, but when I need to use the plunger it is never in a crystal clear toilet. It usually looks like some science experiment gone terribly wrong. After the clog is plunged away you’re left with a plunger that has some of that “science experiment” all over it. Cleaning the plunger is the only option. You don’t want the plunger dripping all over the floor or where ever you store the plunger, that leads to some very unsanitary conditions. And now that I have a house full I’m using the plunger all the time. Yes, the plunger is the most used tool in the house. Check out the video below.
