Three Tech Gadgets For Business Travel You Must Have

push2TV

I have a secret to tell you. I just turned 52 a few months ago (not a secret), and before last year, I had only been on an airplane once (that is the secret). When you are a stay at home mom of two and your husband is only working part time, travel is waaaay down the list of things you will spend your money on! Since I have been a contributor to this and another blog, I have had the honor to cover several events over the past 18 months or so. It has been very exciting to meet all these amazing people and visit all these fantastic cities. I must admit, after the first few trips, I began to feel like a veteran traveler! I have learned a lot of tricks when it comes to traveling for business (and pleasure for that matter) that have made my life much easier. When it comes to tech and travel, the two, at least for me, go hand and hand. In addition to my laptop, phone and tablet, Here are the 3 tech items I never leave the house without when I ht the road.

3 Must Have Tech Gadgets For Business Travel

  1. A Mobile Hotspot: Until I had stayed overnight in a few hotels, I found Internet is often NOT included with your room. When you travel, you do not always have extras included in your stay, so you need to be prepared for that. With a mobile hotspot, like the NETGEAR Zing™ Mobile Hotspot, you are connected wherever you go.
  2. A Portable Power Bank: Trust me, you will only get stuck with nowhere to plug in with your phone dying once when you are traveling! This happened on my first business trip and I was totally stuck! When you are expected to stay connected to social media throughout an event, losing a charge is not a good thing.
  3. The Push2TV Adapter: Not every hotel you stay in on business has satellite or cable. There is no reason to miss your favorite shows while you are on the road. Instead of squinting to watch the newest episodes on your smartphone, you can see them on your TV with the amazing Push2TV Wireless Display Adapter from NETGEAR.

Tech Gadgets For Business Travel

I am a self admitted technology junkie who cannot be without the Internet for too long. If I am on the road and do not have access,I break out in a sweat and start to get a bit nauseous. With the convenient NETGEAR® Zing Mobile Hotspot, I am always connected, no matter where I am. It can can connect up to 10 devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones, so the whole family can stay connected. The Zing has an easy to use LED touchscreen display, easily fits into the palm of your hand and is powerful enough to stay charged for up to 10 hours on a single charge. With the latest encryption technology, your personal information will never get into the wrong hands. Now we can have access to the Internet while we are in the car on a trip, in the carpool lane or even the doctor’s office. The Netgear® Zing Mobile Hotspot is normally $299.99, but with a two year agreement with Sprint, I am able to get it for just $1 through Best Buy. If you go straight through Sprint, the Zing will cost you $199.99 and you can pay just a little over $8 per month!

When it comes to being addicted to things, I am almost as addicted to my TV shows as I am to the Internet! I hate being on the road and missing out on my favorite programs. The last time this happened, I found out who won DWTS on Facebook before I was able to see the show! I realize I can see a lot of my favorite shows through the Internet, but I hate to watch them on the itty bitty screen on my phone. With the incredibly clever Push2TV device, I can mirror the screen of my smartphone or tablet directly to my big screen TV. I can also see all my photos and videos just as easily and all are in 1080p HD resolution with surround sound. The Push2TV works with Miracast™ certified and Intel® WiDi wireless display enabled devices. I just did a quick search through the settings on my phone and was able to mirror SOA on Netflix from my phone to my TV! Be sure to stay up todate with the latest products, deals and news from NETGEAR by following them on Facebook and Twitter.

I completely agree with the hot spot and battery. I am lost when my phone dies. i love, love, love my portable charger. it’s always in my purse.

  2. I’ve used Netgear and Sprint and I loved them both. It’s perfect for us travelers.

  3. The portable battery is a must. When you’re travelling, your phone works harder to find a signal since it is out of area.

These are three great things to have anyway I think if you do travel a lot. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I totally agree with all three devices. I’ve gone to a few conferences and haven’t had a power bank and then you’re stuck looking for outlets!
