Years ago, before kids, my husband and I took a fabulous vacation to San Antonio and have some great memories we took with us from that trip.  This part of Texas is absolutely beautiful, with the San Antonio River running though the downtown area and all the cute shops and nice restaurants.  We were able to take advantage of some River Boat Dining, where we enjoyed a delicious meal with an amazing view.

We would love to go on vacation to San Antonio, this time with the kids!  The kids are still a little young, so I would probably wait a couple years yet so we can enjoy the downtown area more. Although, there is a SAVE – San Antonio Vacation Experiencecurrently that would be nice to take advantage of for a huge cost savings.

So my husband and I sat down and looked at what we would like to do the next time we vacation in San Antonio.  Since most of our choices involved doing more mature things such as shopping, sightseeing and museums we decided it would be best to wait until the kids are older.  But we did write out a few things that we wanted to make sure we did for the trip!

Market Square: Which features over 100 shops and boutiques for clothing, folk art, jewelry, pottery, textiles, working artisans/craftsman, the official Latino Museum of Texas and special cultural events and festivals and is the largest Mexican marketplace north of the Rio Grande. Their SAVE is a 10% off coupon for any purchase over $20 at Market Square.

San Marcos Premium Outlet: Here you will find some great stores to shop at and save money, such as Coach, Prada, Victoria's Secret, Crate and Barrel, and Pottery Barn Outlet.  There are actually 140 stores to shop! SAVE has a VIP printable coupon book to take with you to the outlets so its like savings on top of savings!

McNay Art Museum: This museum was built by artist and educator Marion Koogler McNay in the 1920s as a Spanish Colonial Revival-style home and was opened as Texas' first museum of modern art in 1954. There are amazing works of art there by arts such as: Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Edward Hopper, Georgia O'Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock and Pierre-Auguste Renoir – some of my favorite all time favorites! Children 11 and under are free, and ages 12 and above will receive $1 off admission.

Alamo Helicopter Tour: I have always wanted to take a helicopter ride, and think it would amazing to see the River Walk and the city from a bird's eye view. The SAVE for this is 10% off on all flights!

Natural Bridge Caverns: Is where you will discover incredible underground chambers filled with spectacular formations on a guided tour along paved, lighted walkways. Natural Bridge Caverns is Texas’ Largest, and one of the premier show caves in the world. The SAVE is $2 off adult and $1 off children's tour tickets.

Of course we would need a place to stay, and thought it would great to stay in the heart of downtown at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the Riverwalk. This is the only River Walk hotel directly overlooking the historic Alamo. The SAVE rates here start at $125. Limited Time Offers

As you can see, this is a huge savings for any family! If this is a trip you are considering, there are also some limited time offers that you can take advantage of now!
