Nutrisystem End Of Week 4

  • Starting weight: 225 lbs
  • Weight at beginning of week 4: 222 lbs
  • Weight at end of week 4: 217 lbs

Ok, so I’m going to admit something to you.  I don’t exercise.  I hate exercising.  It’s just who I am (which totally explains why I weigh what I weigh).  I shouldn’t just say that I hate it (even though I do), but due to some serious back and neck problems, as well as asthma, there is a lot that I just can’t do anyways.  Nutrisystem recommends what they call their “Daily 3” which is their recommendation for easy daily activity, broken down into 3 easy 10-minute increments.  I took my online Daily 3 assessment, and due to my health issues, is was recommended that I consult my health care professional before starting the Daily 3 program.  Well, I didn’t specifically consult my doctor, but I’ve taken physical therapy for so many years, I didn’t feel that I needed to, as I know what exercises are ok for me to do with my injuries.  That doesn’t mean that I do them as often as I should, but I do them occasionally.  Besides, I’m pretty sure that with 3 dogs (one who’s potty training and one who apparently hates me and likes to decide to go out as soon as I get back upstairs from letting the other two out)  and a 2 level house with 15 stairs, I’m probably getting in my daily workout just doing the stairs at least 30 times per day.  So yeah, exercise = touchy subject.

On another note, I feel much better about this week’s weight (duh).  I’ve had a killer sinus infection and am on antibiotics strong enough to cure an elephant, so I’ve been super nauseous this week, and haven’t been able to eat as much as recommended.  I’ve been able to get down the main meals (for the most part), but I just can’t add on the snacks.  The meals were difficult enough, so I figured I wouldn’t push it with snacks and dessert.  I’m really enjoying the protein shakes, however.  I’ve decided that chocolate is the only flavor I really like, but it’s almost like a dessert for me.  Especially since I modify it, like I mentioned in my Week 1 post.

Well, 5 lbs isn’t bad for a loss this week.  I’m not sure if the lack of snacks is helping or hurting me, but it’s just going to have to do until I’m done with my antibiotics.  Stay tuned for next week when I update with my first video post!
