Ok, so I’m super psyched this week! I’m down a pant size! I can finally say that I’m more motivated than ever to really work hard and stick to my diet! I’ve found a workout buddy, which makes it WAY easier to make sure I’m getting at least some exercise in, so that probably explains the 9 lbs I lost this week! I’ve also had a lot of stress, and have been on a heavy antibiotic for a sinus infection that won’t go away, so I can’t eat as much as normal, which might be part of it too. I think the best part at this point in the program is really customizing Nutrisystem‘s already great meals to be a little bit more what I like. For instance, I love spice, so for the burger or grilled chicken, I make an onion and serrano pepper light mayo spread and it really kicks it up a notch. I actually add serranos or jalapenos to just about any of their dishes, and it always tastes great! And I LOVE the ice cream for dessert! I didn’t at first, but now that it’s starting to get warmer out, I’m really enjoying it! I think my tastes in food will change slightly now that we’re into a different season, so I’m excited to try some different foods that are more summery.
Now is for sure the best time of year to get started losing weight. I felt like it was really difficult when it wasn’t nice out because I was stuck inside more and winter can be kind of depressing. I eat when I’m down in the dumps. I’ll be completely honest – I was really apprehensive about starting Nutrisystem. I’m a picky eater, and I just wasn’t sure that the way I wanted to lose weight was by changing my entire diet. Even two weeks ago, I would have told you that I was still on the fence about it being the completely right choice. Now that it’s nice out, it’s easier to burn calories, now that I’ve learned the program better, it’s easier to choose or modify the foods so that I don’t feel like I’m missing out, and I’m seeing really good results, which is coming just at the right time of year. If you’ve thought about joining a program and just haven’t been sure if you want to commit or don’t know what would be right for you, I’d really encourage you to try Nutrisystem. It’ll take a few months for you to figure it out and find the foods you like best, but I promise it’s worth the effort. I can’t wait to check in next week! I’m looking towards flying past the 200 lb mark in no time!
