Trucking Photography From Across The Country

“East bound and down….”

For a year I was an OTR truck driver. Here are a few photos I took as I traveled across the country.

Me in my first rig.

About 2 months later I got a new 2011 International ProStar

I parked it at home and got into trouble with the Home Owners’ Association.

My work schedule was crazy. 6 weeks on the road and 3 days home.

I did see the entire country though. We live in a beautiful land.

New Mexico

I had plenty of opportunities to sharpen my skills driving through congested cities

As you can see, I could only take a picture of St. Louis. The traffic in places like New York and Pittsburgh is too crazy to photo.

I had many a backing nightmare

Here is a “test your nerves” dock bump. Location: Jamaica New York. As you can see there are cars parked on both sides of the road. The road is only 20+ wide with sidewalk, buildings, fences, and telephone poles to clear.

I drove through some pretty crazy weather as well

This is a Wal-Mart distribution center in Joliet Illinois where a tornado wiggled through just as I arrived.

My favorite delivery was to the Bass Pro Shoppes in Foxborough Massachusetts.

Gillette Stadium was just across the parking lot. Being a Massachusetts boy, this might be as close to heaven as I will ever get.

I hope you enjoyed the ride!
